Where did me go?

Julia loves to play peek-a-boo. She will cover her face with her hands and say "momma, where did me go?"

Gotta have the picture

My little sister is getting married soon, and we got her wedding announcement today. Julia saw the picture and had to have it on the table next to her the entire time she was eating breakfast. I tried to move it so she wouldn't spill any monkey cereal on it (monkey cereal is a whole different story) but she let me know that I needed to put it back next to her so she could look at it.

Another of Julia's favorite things is to sing Happy Birthday, but she likes to sing it to everybody and everything around her. This morning at breakfast she was singing Happy Birthday Kristina's picture, and Happy Birthday banana, and Happy Birthday pink bib. Whatever she could find she would sing Happy Birthday to it.

No 'it

Julia doesn't say her "S" sound at the beginning of some words, so when we ask her if she wants to stand or sit it comes out sounding like: 'it.
Yesterday when I was trying to put on her dress she was being very squirmy and wouldn't hold still, plus she kept trying to sit down, making it almost impossible. Frustrated I finally said, "Julia it would be so much easier to put on this dress if you would stand." She said, "no 'it!"

Julia's 2nd birthday

Julia celebrated her 2nd birthday March 3, 2008. We got her some fashion accessories, which she absolutely loved, and didn't want to take off the sunglasses for an hour while she opened the rest of her presents.

We went shopping in the mall the other day to buy her some new shoes. She walked into the shoe store and knew exactly where the Dora sandals were, walked down the aisle, took them out of the box, took off her socks and shoes, and put on the sandals. And there was no way she was taking those off! Yep, I bought 'em.
