So I've started a new project called the Truck Tracks.  This little truck has an endless supply of road ahead of him and he's ready to go just about anywhere.

Let the remodeling be finished

We started this remodel project about 6 weeks ago, but in kitchen years it felt like 6 months. 

As part of the wind damage, there was a lot of water damage to the wood floor, wall, and trim around the sliding glass door.  

As we were making plans to get these things fixed, Natalie said "while we're at it, what do you think about doing this, this and this to the kitchen?"

I have to hand it to Nat for her vision on what the kitchen could look like with a fresh coat of paint, new countertops, and covering up the color of the brown wood on the cabinets.  

I never thought about putting granite countertops in this house, mainly because granite is such a high-priced upgrade, that I never thought it was for me.  But we found an awesome piece of rock named "Bordeaux River", which looks fantastic, and I haven't had a single regret of buyer's remorse.

Anyway, here are some pics of the before and after.  It's hard to do it justice compared to looking at things in person, but you get the idea.
